When you join The Gents Place family, you receive strong support from the very beginning with five weeks of training—or refinery, as we call it—covering all aspects of the business. This inclusive training takes place in Dallas at our home offices and at your specific location prior to opening. Each week of training dives deep into topics including staffing, company culture, marketing, product and service knowledge, operations, opening and closing procedures, customer service and communication and much more.

Support Every Step of the Way

After you’ve completed your five weeks of Refinery training, the support is far from over. The Gents Place family and corporate team are here for you for the life of the franchise with ongoing and continued support in all aspects of the business. Refinery begins at our corporate offices in Dallas where you will learn about our vision, values, and culture as a brand.

  • Refinery I

    Our founder and president, Ben Davis, kicks off this three-day training by personally talking through his story of starting The Gents Place and his vision for culture across the brand. Other topics covered are franchise and development support resources, marketing, and an in-depth look at our business model to learn the tools to become profitable

  • Refinery II

    This three-day training takes a deeper look into the emotional connection of our services and the vision for each experience we provide in our clubs. You will also take a closer look at the construction roadmap, club design, and recruitment processes.

  • Refinery III

    This refinery provides valuable insight into how successful clubs are built, staffed, and operated. Topics include how to identify key team members, recruitment tools and resources, building your membership base, and leveraging key resources from within.

  • Refinery IV

    This training session is held in an open club and features comprehensive training on every aspect of successfully running your business. This week is designed to “train the trainers” on day-to-day operations inside the club, and it also sets the groundwork to begin building your team and membership base.

  • Refinery V

    The final refinery training is held at your new location with The Gents Place franchising team members working alongside you and your team. We provide on-site support to guide, coach, and help set goals leading up to the soft opening of your location.
