    Ben Davis Founder & President

    Ben Davis is a serial entrepreneur with an impressive portfolio dominantly invested in the confidence and refinement of gentlemen everywhere. In 2008, out of frustration with his past experiences, Ben founded The Gents Place and cultivated men’s grooming into an enjoyable experience featuring world-class services in an upscale environment. Since attending the University of Texas at Austin Red McCombs School of Business and the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Ben has earned national recognition in Forbes, GQ, Men’s Health, and the Dallas Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Awards” for his success in turning the underserved niche of men’s grooming into an expanding commodity. His guiding doctrine is a contagious philosophy that men who look their best do their best, and Ben has a steadfast devotion to helping men achieve this.

    Lauren Davis Chief Culture Officer

    An integral part of The Gents Place team, Lauren Davis serves as Chief Culture Officer for the brand, ensuring that the values-driven culture is infused into every aspect of the business. Serving first, contributing with love, and working with passion are just a few of the foundational pieces that help make each location a positive experience for both Team Members and guests. In addition to her cultural role, Lauren is highly involved in the design process of each location, devoted to executing the world-class experience with every brand interaction.

    Jeff Gloor Vice President of Operations

    Jeff Gloor joined The Gents Place team in June of 2017 and is responsible for all aspects of operations, training, and field franchise support. With nearly 30 years of experience in operations, retail lifecycle, field marketing, and strategic planning, Jeff has worked with a number of world-class franchise organizations including Gold’s Gym, Dunkin Brands and Blockbuster.

    Liz Aguilar Operations Specialist

    Liz Aguilar has been in the industry for 13 years and joined the Gents Place in 2013. She started as a dual licensed progressive Cosmetologist/Barber, with a passion to make men look their best and feel their best. She has worked her way up to a Master and Floor Operations Manager, then to Franchise Operations Specialist. She is enthusiastic to train and instill the values of the company and currently is the Operations Specialist with a hands-on position assisting over all operations. Liz’s favorite value is to focus on solutions and be your best!

  • Danielle Dunham

    Danielle Dunham Member Advisor

    Danielle has been with The Gents Place for 4 years. She started as a Sales Concierge at our Leawood, KS location, learning the ins and outs of our membership programs, products & services, computer systems, inventory, and sales process. Next she transitioned to our Reservation Concierge team, to learn the "behind the scenes" work and technology involved with our omni-channel reservations systems. With all of her experiences and passion for The Gents Place, she has transitioned into a corporate role, as our Member Advisor Manager. In her new role, she provides support for all locations, in order to fulfill our three core brand promises to our members: 1. Personalized service 2.Ultra-premium experience and 3. Influential community of gentlemen.

    Katelyn Thornton Social Media Manager

    A progressive part of The Gents Place team, Katelyn Thornton serves as Social Media Manager for the brands Rascal, The Gents Place and ResCon. Creating a vision and image for the brands is something she loves best! In addition to her social media role, Katelyn loves working with Influencers, volunteering, photography/ videography and pouring her creativity in everything she does. “Creating a world-class atmosphere (virtually) is the ultimate intention.”

  • Shanna Lee Schulze

    Shanna Lee Schulze General Counsel

    Shanna Schulze brings business and cultural diversity to Shumway Van as a 7th generation West Texas rancher, former sports apparel business owner, wellness advocate, and attorney. Mrs. Schulze gained significant legal experience by developing and growing Massage Heights Franchising’s legal department as its Corporate Counsel, and later, doing the same for TGP Franchising (The Gents Place franchise brand). Through Shumway Van, Mrs. Schulze continues to provide these franchise brands, as well as others, corporate and franchise-related legal services. Additionally, Shanna is a proud Board member of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA), member of the Austin Junior League, and the Executive Director of So Live, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to conquering cancer and promoting a higher quality of life. She takes pride in her country roots and city branches, and is always willing to take on new challenges.
